The seat of “La Serratura” is situated in the midst of the tuscan hills between Florence and Arezzo. It is an idea spot for contemplation and inspiration. In it’s simplicity and it’s vast inner and outer spaces it is suited perfectly for many activities.

The geographically interesting location of our association’s estate attracts travelling artists from all over Europe and also challenges us to combine lots of different aspects of art, culture and society: on the one hand there are the local people in this area who come from a rural and rather conservative background and therefore have a rather shy and cautious view on art and on the other hand there are those that move to this place and that bring new and different impulses by trying to cross borders with their art and culture. The approximation between the two of them has been proven to be best accomplished by exercising a sensitive and sensible exchange.
