The event ‘la festa della Luna’ was born in 2003, at the seat of la Serratura which especially during summer season offers so many opportunities to meet and celebrate outside. The full moon is said to inspire creative energy and so we created an event to celebrate summer nights and moon with a varied selection of artistic gems.

First a tiny cultural event, it has in the meanwhile through the love and hard work of many supporters grown very well known in the whole Valdarno region and the always changing participants, artists of all kinds have taken the lore of a beautiful full-moon spectacle beyond the Italian borders across Europe. It takes place at full moon in August. This year however, due to cutbacks in cultural funding we were not able to host this wonderful event. But we keep up the spirit and are looking forward to next year!

Because the concept of sharing artistic ideas and exchanging creative vibes has worked so well, we decided in 2009 to create the ‘STatIOne EstIvA’ a series of cultural events, conceived to promote inter-cultural exchange, tear down barriers between social groups and to address contemporary issues through art.
